Answers to common questions about Primatech’s training services are provided here.

Question: How do I register for a course?

Face-to-face or live-streamed:

Register online through the course description, schedule, or training menu. You will be prompted to log in or create a Primatech account, select a course, and complete payment details. You may pay by credit card or submit a pay-later request if you need to pay another way.

eLearning:

Register online through the eLearning page on the course description page. You will be directed to our Learning Management System (LMS) to create an account (separate from your primatech.com account). From there, select your course and pay by credit card online.

Question: How do I pay for a course?

Face-to-face or live-streamed:

  • Credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover)
  • Invoice for payment by check, ACH, or wire transfer
  • Purchase order (fees must be paid before training dates)

eLearning:

Credit card only, paid online at time of registration.

Question: Do you offer discounts?

Discounts are available only for face-to-face and live-streamed courses. see our Promotions and Discounts page for details. Discounts do not apply to eLearning.

Question: What is your cancellation and refund policy?

Face-to-face: 25% cancellation fee if cancelled less than 4 weeks before the start date. No refunds if cancelled less than 2 weeks prior; substitutions may be possible by contacting Primatech in advance.

Live-streamed: No refunds for cancellations less than 2 weeks prior; substitutions may be possible by contacting Primatech in advance.

eLearning: No refunds once access is granted and the Terms and Conditions have been accepted by the registrant.

Question: How often and where are training courses held?

Primatech offers public courses throughout the year in major U.S. cities and internationally. Dates, locations, and formats (face-to-face, live-streamed, or eLearning) are listed in our Training Course Schedule.

In addition, in-house courses can be delivered privately at your facility, either face-to-face or live-streamed, on dates that fit your schedule.

Question: Do I need a visa to attend face-to-face training?

If you plan to attend a course in a country where you are not a resident, you may need a visa. Requirements vary by country, your country of origin, and the purpose of travel.

Primatech can provide a Letter of Enrollment to support a visa application for registered attendees. This letter is not a guarantee of visa issuance and is only issued after course registration is complete.

Question: Who are the training instructors?

Primatech’s instructors are experienced professionals in process safety and risk management with an average of 20 to 30 years in the field. Along with teaching, they work as consultants for Primatech, performing PHAs, LOPAs, compliance audits, procedure reviews, and complete PSM program development for facilities in many industries.

Because they are actively engaged in project work, instructors bring current, real-world examples to the classroom. Attendees gain practical insights, proven methods, and lessons learned from real projects, making the training directly applicable to their own work.

Question: What should I bring to the training?

Face-to-face: All materials and supplies are provided; no laptop required.

Live-streamed: Access via web browser (Chrome or Edge is recommended). Downloadable course materials will be provided to registered attendees at least one week before the start date.

eLearning: Nothing needed except internet access.

Question: What is included in the course fee?

Face-to-face: Manuals, reference materials, supplies, and daily breakfast, lunch, and refreshments. Travel and lodging are the responsibility of the attendee.

Live-streamed: PDF manual and workshop materials.

eLearning: Registered attendees will receive:

  • Thirty (30) days of access to the course from the date of enrollment
  • The ability to view the course up to five (5) times during that period
  • A certificate of completion upon request after finishing the course

Please note:

  • Access is limited to the individual registrant and may not be shared, transferred, or resold
  • Recording, copying, or distributing course content is not permitted
  • At this time, eLearning courses are available only to registrants located in the United States, and not to those in countries or regions subject to U.S. sanctions

Question: Are Continuing Education Units (CEUs)  / Professional Development Hours (PDHs) awarded for courses?

Yes. CEUs and PDHs are awarded based on the actual number of instructional hours, excluding breaks and lunch. For example, a 3-day course with 8 scheduled hours per day awards 2.1 CEUs or 21 PDHs based on 7 instructional hours per day. Attendees are responsible for submitting these to their professional organizations.

Certificates:

  • Face-to-face: Paper certificate provided after course completion.
  • Live-streamed: PDF certificate provided after course completion via email.
  • eLearning: Certificate available upon request after course completion.

Question: Can Primatech teach a course privately to a group at my company's facility?

Yes. In addition to public courses, Primatech offers in-house training that provides a private setting and customized instruction. All face-to-face courses can be delivered in-house at your facility or another location. Live-streamed courses are also available for private delivery.

Whether public or in-house, attendees receive the same high-quality training. In-house, private delivery is often more cost-effective for organizations with multiple participants.
