PHAWorks Software Tips and Tricks

Course Description

PHAWorks® is designed so that it can easily be used out-of-the-box without reading the User Guide. Indeed, many users rely on their PHA and Windows® knowledge to use the product. However, such users may miss the benefits of many features in the software that can be used to speed up and increase the effectiveness of PHA studies. This course teaches how Primatech’s own PHA facilitators use the software with their intimate knowledge of its features and how they were intended to be used in PHA studies.

Objective

To learn how to use PHAWorks most effectively and efficiently.

Target Audience

Individuals responsible for using PHAWorks to record PHA studies. These individuals may include the PHA Team Leader, PHA Scribe, PHA Coordinator, PSM Manager or other people involved in completing PHA studies.

Prerequisite

Attendees should have a basic understanding of PHA and Windows-based software applications. Students should come to the course with PHAWorks installed on a personal computer (a small number of computers are available for rental from Primatech).

  • Configuring a PHA project

  • Defining the study purpose, scope and objectives

  • Establishing and using Library checklists

  • Recording attendance

  • Documenting reference drawings and linking to them

  • Fast ways for entering data in the worksheet

  • Navigating the worksheet

  • Using worksheet references

  • Automating worksheet entries using Sage

  • Changing the worksheet display

  • Backing up projects

  • Customizing reports

  • Revising worksheets

  • Updating and revalidating PHAs

  • Creating templates for other types of studies
