Chemical Process Incident Investigation

Course Description

Companies subject to OSHA's PSM and/or EPA's RMP regulations are responsible for developing in-house capability to investigate incidents that occur in their facilities.  Many companies fail to anticipate the need for trained investigation teams with the skills necessary to accurately determine root causes.  Once an incident has occurred, you are required to begin the investigation within 48 hours. A hastily-conducted incident investigation might fail to find the precise cause, possibly leading to ineffective corrective measures and no real improvement in safety at all.

This course equips you with a proven, systematic approach to incident investigation that you can put in place right away. The entire investigation process is outlined, with detailed instructions given for each step. You'll learn how to correctly gather evidence, overcome emotional barriers in witness interviews, and use logical deduction to determine the true root cause.

Course is only available for In-House training.
