American Board of Industrial Hygiene (ABIH)

As the certifying body for the Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) and Certified Associate Industrial Hygienist (CAIH) credentials, ABIH offers the most prestigious occupational hygiene certifications in the world.  For more than 50 years it has been the world’s largest not-for-profit corporation that certifies industrial hygiene professionals. ABIH ensures high-quality certification application and examination processes, certification maintenance and ethics governance and enforcement.

ABIH is an IOHA recognized Certification Board and is accredited by ANSI and CESB.  ABIH believes in the critical value of industrial hygiene professionals to continue to develop their knowledge and skills throughout their careers as technology advances and regulations become more complex and stringent.  With a stress on the importance of certification as an indicator of professionals, ABIH promotes the high standards of conduct for people serving in the interest of public health.

Primatech is recognized by ABIH as a leading provider of high-quality professional education and offers a variety of training courses that meet the requirements for certification maintenance.  ABIH has awarded all Primatech training courses with CM (certification maintenance) Points.  For a listing of Primatech’s CM Points awards for each course, Click Here and enter Primatech as the Activity Provider.

AIHA continues to achieve and maintain the highest professional standards for its members, and works in conjunction with the American Board of Industrial Hygiene (ABIH) in promoting the IH certification.  They offer education programs to keep occupational and environmental health and safety professionals current in their field and operate several highly recognized laboratory accreditation programs that help ensure the data quality used in making critical worker protection decisions.

AIHA is directly affiliated with ABIH and accepts CM points awarded by ABIH for Primatech training courses. IH and OEHS credential holders who wish to maintain their professional development and continuing education requirements may receive credits by completing training with Primatech.
