Upgrades and Patches

I need more information on patches / upgrades.

Primatech Software Installer 1.0

See the Install Help Primatech Software.TXT file to use with Primatech Software Installer 1.0 and later.

PSMOffice 3 and Older Installations

The patches do not include the full installation. They only upgrade your current copy to the latest release.

AUDITWorks 1 Patch Information

  • You must have AUDITWorks 1 installed to use this upgrade.

  • The AUDITWorks 1 program will not be updated. Only the capability to move an activated key will be added for AUDITWorks 1.

  • Since key options are not available for workstations, this upgrade will not work on workstation installations.

  • The current key diskette (or key on your hard disk) with AUDITWorks 1 will work with this upgrade.  The AUDITWorks 1 "Move Activated Key" upgrade will not affect the key.

PHAWorks 5.05 Patch Information

  • This program WILL NOT upgrade PHAWorks 5.00 to 5.05.  You must have PHAWorks 5.01 - PHAWorks 5.05 installed to use this upgrade.

  • This upgrade will not change the PHAWorks directory name. For example, "C:\PHWRK501" WILL NOT become "C:\PHWRK505".  Only the files will be updated to 5.05, not the directory name.

  • Any directory containing the PHAWORKS.EXE file for PHAWorks 5.01 - PHAWorks 5.04 should have the patch applied. This includes all stand-alone and network installations. For example, if you completed a workstation install (based off the network install) and selected to have all the program files on the workstation, the patch should also be applied to the workstation.

  • The current key diskette (or key on your hard disk) with PHAWorks 5.01 - PHAWorks 5.04 will work with PHAWorks 5.05. The PHAWorks 5.05 upgrade will not affect the key.

  • If the upgrade cannot find the required information, you will be prompted for the program and key directory.  Even if you use the floppy key diskette to run the software, the upgrade requires the location of the key folder created during the installation. If you used the installation defaults, this would be the "C:\PHAW5KEY" or the "C:\PSMOFF32\PHAW5KEY" directory. If completing a workstation upgrade, the key directory could be located on the network.
