EPA Risk Management Plan Updates
As you are aware, the EPA Risk Management Program (RMP)
rule, 40 CFR Part 68, was promulgated in June, 1996.
This required compliance with the rule and submission of an RM Plan
to the EPA by
June 21, 1999.
As part of on going compliance with the RMP rule, RM
Plans must be re-submitted to the EPA at least every 5 years. Thus, most facilities were due
for their 5-year RM Plan re-submission by
June 21, 2004. If your facility has not conducted an update of your RMP
Plan (and re-submittal of the plan to EPA) to meet this deadline, or if
your RMP will be due for an update soon, Primatech can help.
Primatech ensures your RMP update and re-submittal to
the EPA meets EPA’s current requirements. For
example, the following must be assessed for changes in your facility’s
Risk Management Program:
-
RMP management system
-
Hazard Assessment (worst case scenario, alternative
release scenario, and, 5 year accident history)
-
Prevention Program
-
Emergency Response Program
-
RM Plan
Primatech is an experienced process safety and risk

RM Plan submissions, updates and re-submissions for numerous facilities

NOTE: The Federal Environmental Protection Agency
(EPA) has recently changed the requirements for RM Plan updates and
re-submittals. New requirements include, among
other things:
-
added RMP data elements
-
modifications to the re-submission schedule for
certain affected sources/companies
-
revisions to the re-submission format, etc.
Companies covered by the EPA RMP rule must comply with the new requirements.
Let Primatech take the
guess-work out of trying to meet these new EPA requirements
… let Primatech prepare your facility’s RM Plan update and
re-submittal!
